Hanoi Vietnam Ranks Second Among The Top Most Favorite Asian Cities

Foreign friends praised Hanoi as the charming capital of Vietnam with thousands of years history.

TripAdvisor – The famous wesite specializing in worldwide tourist sites recently announced 25 most popular destinations in Asia in 2014. Hanoi (Vietnam) ranked second in the list, while Ho Chi Minh City and Hoi An cited at 9^th and 14^th respectively.

 

TripAdvisor praised “The charming Vietnamese capital has aged well, preserving the Old Quarter, monuments and colonial architecture, while making room for modern developments alongside. Hanoi may have shrugged off several former names, including Thang Long, or "ascending dragon," but it hasn't forgotten its past, as sites such as Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and Hoa Lo Prison attest. Lakes, parks, shady boulevards and more than 600 temples and pagodas add to the appeal of this city, which is easily explored by taxi". 

Hanoi gives tourists a peaceful ancient beauty as well as a modern, youthful atmosphere.
